Scott Golden

This Year’s Pickleball Global Challenge Cup Announcer:

Scott Golden is a USAPA 5.0 rated pickleball player out of Birmingham, Alabama. He does not have a racquet sport background, prior to pickleball. He discovered the sport in October of 2016. He has played in 60 pickleball tournaments all over the country since entering his first ever tournament in Nashville, TN in March of 2017 at the 3.5 level. He has won gold medals at 3.5, 4.0, & 4.5 and now even the 5.0 level. Along the journey, he was nicknamed the “Golden Boy” by a fellow pickleball player, and it stuck. The Golden Boy signed a major pickleball contract with Monarch Pickleball/Dicks Sporting Goods on November 1st, 2018. His new paddle is affectionately named The “Golden Axe” and will hit Dick's Sporting Goods stores in late 2019. When not on the courts, Scott can be found live streaming and color commentating matches at tournaments all over the country. He was most recently at the 2018 Margaritaville USA Pickleball National Championships out in Palm Springs, California representing Monarch Pickleball. He was able to capture some amazing video footage, with two of his live streams
reaching 10,000 views, in just a few days time. He also coaches and teaches all across the country. He is a PPR certified Instructor, and loves teaching pickleball players the game.
