    Short Bio:

Not only is he a four-time Grand Slam Gold Medalist in Men’s Open Singles and 4x National Champion, but he also recently won his first Grand Slam in Men’s Open Doubles at the 2018 Tournament of Champions. A former 5.5 ranked Tennis player turned Pickleball star, Tyson is currently competing across the professional Pickleball Tour and playing in events sanctioned by the USAPA. Tyson McGuffin grew up in Lake Chelan, Washington, and has always been a natural athlete. He comes from a family passionate about wrestling, and his father was his high school wrestling coach. Even though wrestling was his main sport throughout his early life and high school years, he later found that he enjoyed tennis, and played competitively at his junior college. In fact, he was so taken by tennis that he even passed up a wrestling scholarship. It was when McGuffin became a tennis instructor that eventually led to his Pickleball introduction at a local YMCA. Though he initially struggled with the fast-paced game, he utilized his tennis skills into becoming a competitive and successful Pickleball player. McGuffin took to the sport quickly, and turned pro within just 6 months of playing. His success in the sport was immediate, he played his first USAPA Nationals tournament winning Silver in Men’s Open Singles in his 1st year of turning pro. Today, he is the #1 ranked Singles player and #4 ranked Men's Doubles player, according to the World Pickleball Federation, and is actively competing across the professional Pickleball circuit. When he isn’t playing in tournaments, you can find McGuffin serving as an IPTPA and PPR certified instructor for LevelUp Pickleball Camps.

    Short Bio:

Tyler started playing Pickleball 3.5 years ago (2016). Since the beginning, Tyler has had great success in Singles and more recently that success has converted to the Doubles and Mixed Doubles games of Pickleball. Being a left-handed player, he oftentimes has a slight advantage over others who are not familiar with his style of play. Tyler is the 2018 Canadian triple crown winner, as well as the Silver medalist for the 2018 US Nationals Singles Open. He has medaled in nearly all the major tournaments and continues to compete and bring energy to every match he participates in. He is sponsored by Onix, and has used the same Z5 graphite paddle ever since his first day playing Pickleball. Tyler moved with his family to UT and ended up going to school and playing D1 collegiate tennis. Tyler loves to participate in anything outdoors, and loves to compete in all sports.

    Short Bio:

Lucy loves pickleball and the people she meets wherever she plays. She is GAMMA’s first pickleball pro! She plays with the Gamma Mirage paddle for it’s great touch and dink accuracy. She started playing Pickleball three years ago by luck. She was taking her daughter, Rebecca, to soccer practice at Bamford Park in Davie, Florida. A friend posted on Facebook to try pickleball. As luck would
have it, pickleball courts were at the same park where her daughter was practicing. She dropped her off at practice and hunted around for the courts. The people at the park were so friendly, they gave her a paddle and allowed her to join in. After one game she was hooked! After that, she started playing three times a week while her daughter was at soccer practice. Lucy enjoys running Pickleball tournaments when she isn’t playing Pickleball.
